1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to SingArena ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and SingArena governing your access to and use of the SingArena platform, including all associated websites, web applications, mobile applications for Android (built with Capacitor and distributed via the Google Play Store or other channels), desktop applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux (built with Electron as a native wrapper around the web application), APIs, and any related services. The data controller and operator of the Platform is TC Szabla LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St Ste 23157, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States of America, as further set out in Section 17. Mandatory consumer-protection rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence (including, for users resident in the EU/EEA or the United Kingdom, the GDPR/UK GDPR and applicable consumer-protection statutes) remain unaffected.
By creating an account, accessing, browsing, or using SingArena in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety, as well as our Privacy Policy, Content Policy, Community Guidelines, Cookies Policy, Copyright & DMCA Policy (collectively, the "Platform Agreements"). If you do not agree to any part of these Terms or the Platform Agreements, you must not access or use the Platform.
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. We will notify users of material changes by posting the revised Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Content" means any and all audio files, musical compositions, sound recordings, lyrics, images, cover artwork, text, metadata, karaoke recordings, performances, profile information, chat messages, comments, reactions, and any other material uploaded, submitted, posted, displayed, or otherwise made available on or through the Platform.
- "User" means any individual who creates an account on or accesses the Platform.
- "Karaoke Recording" means any audio or audiovisual recording created by a User using the Platform's karaoke functionality.
- "Premium" means the paid subscription tier offering enhanced features, including unlimited karaoke sessions, ad-free experience, and offline downloads.
- "Free Plan" means the default, no-cost tier with limited karaoke sessions per day and advertisements.
- "Admin" or "Administration" means the authorized personnel or automated systems responsible for managing, moderating, and administering the Platform.
- "Account" means the registered user profile created by a User to access the Platform's services.
- "Intellectual Property" means all patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade names, service marks, trade secrets, know-how, and any other intellectual property rights recognized in any jurisdiction worldwide.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Age Requirements
You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to create an account and use the Platform. If you are between thirteen (13) and eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform and that such parent or legal guardian has read, understood, and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We reserve the right to request proof of age or parental consent at any time and to terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.
3.2 Account Creation
To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the multi-step registration form. Registration requires providing your first name, last name, email address, password, date of birth, and country of residence.
3.3 Email Verification
All accounts require email verification before access is granted. You must provide a valid email address and verify ownership by clicking the verification link sent to that address. You will not be able to sign in until your email address has been verified. Accounts that are not verified within a reasonable timeframe may be automatically deleted.
3.4 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not you have authorized such activities.
3.5 Nickname Restrictions
Certain nicknames are reserved to prevent impersonation and protect trademarks. If a nickname is unavailable, you must choose another. We may reclaim, reassign or restrict misleading nicknames.
3.6 Profile Setup
During registration you may optionally configure your profile, including uploading a profile avatar (or using an auto-generated default), selecting favorite music genres, opting in to challenges and notifications, and accepting the Platform Agreements. Your profile information may be visible to other users in accordance with your privacy settings.
4. Song Requests
Users may request songs by providing a title, performer name, YouTube URL and optional note. Requests are reviewed by the Administration; submitting a request does not guarantee inclusion in the catalog.
5. User Conduct and Responsibilities
5.1 General Conduct
You agree to use the Platform in a manner consistent with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. You shall not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
- Upload, submit, or transmit any Content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other rights of any third party.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Platform or the servers and networks connected to the Platform.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Platform, other user accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Platform.
- Use any automated means, including bots, scrapers, or spiders, to access the Platform or collect data from the Platform.
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other Users through any Platform feature, including chat, comments, or reactions.
- Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful software.
- Manipulate rankings, leaderboards, seasonal scores, challenges, or any competitive features through fraudulent means.
- Create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions, bans, strikes, or limitations.
- Abuse the referral system by creating fake accounts or using automated means to generate referral rewards.
- Abuse the reporting system by filing false or malicious reports against other users or content.
5.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all Content you upload, submit, post, or otherwise make available through the Platform, including chat messages, comments, reactions, and karaoke recordings. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to submit such Content and to grant the rights and licenses described in these Terms. You acknowledge that the Platform does not pre-screen all Content and that you may be exposed to Content that is inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable. The Platform shall not be liable for any Content uploaded by Users.
6. Karaoke Features
6.1 Karaoke Recordings
The Platform provides karaoke functionality that allows Users to create recordings of their vocal performances ("Karaoke Recordings"). By creating a Karaoke Recording using the Platform, you grant SingArena a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to store, display, distribute, reproduce, and publicly perform your Karaoke Recording on and through the Platform, including in connection with leaderboards, challenges, rankings, social features, and promotional materials.
6.2 Session Limits
Users on the Free Plan are limited to a set number of karaoke sessions per day (currently five). Additional sessions may be unlocked by watching rewarded advertisements. Premium subscribers enjoy unlimited karaoke sessions. The Platform reserves the right to adjust session limits at any time.
6.3 Scoring, Experience Points, and Royal Artifacts
The Platform uses automated scoring algorithms that evaluate vocal performances based on criteria such as pitch accuracy, timing, and vocal stability. Scores are generated automatically and are provided "as is." The Platform does not guarantee the accuracy of scores and reserves the right to modify scoring algorithms at any time. Performance scores contribute to leaderboard rankings, seasonal competitions, experience points (XP), and karaoke level progression (Beginner through Pro). XP is awarded for completed karaoke songs (+10 XP, with a 1.2x multiplier for Premium subscribers) and partial sessions; Free Plan users are subject to daily session limits enforced server-side.
The GoRefuge community module includes a luxury collectible system known as "Royal Artifacts" — purely cosmetic 3D badges awarded for community engagement and milestones. Royal Artifacts have no monetary value, cannot be sold, traded, exchanged for cash, or transferred between accounts, and confer no real-world rights. The Platform reserves the right to add, modify, retire, or revoke Artifacts at any time, including in cases of fraud, manipulation, or violation of these Terms.
6.4 Challenges and Competitions
The Platform features multiple challenge formats, including daily challenges, open challenges, head-to-head battles, and duets. Participation in these features is voluntary. Users may also participate in seasonal competitions with leaderboard rankings and seasonal rewards including badges and cosmetic items. The Platform reserves the right to modify, recalculate, or invalidate scores, rankings, and seasonal results at any time.
6.5 No Ownership Claims
Users do not acquire any ownership rights over the underlying musical compositions, sound recordings, instrumental tracks, or any other Platform features by creating Karaoke Recordings or participating in challenges. The use of platform-provided instrumental tracks is limited to personal, non-commercial use within the Platform unless otherwise expressly authorized.
7. Social Features
7.1 Messaging and Chat
The Platform provides direct messaging and group chat functionality. Messages may include text, voice recordings, and reactions. Users can control who may send them messages and friend requests through privacy settings (Everyone, Friends of Friends, or Nobody). All messages are stored on our servers to enable message delivery, history, and synchronization. The Platform supports optional automatic message translation between supported languages using AI-powered translation services. Messages may be subject to moderation and may be reviewed in response to user reports.
7.2 Friends and Social Connections
Users may send and receive friend requests, follow other users, and create friend groups. Social features include activity feeds, online status indicators, friend rankings, and user search. Certain profile information (display name, avatar, karaoke level, online status) is visible to other users by default unless the account is set to private.
7.3 Comments and Reactions
Users may post comments on songs and react to content and messages using the Platform's reaction system. Comments and reactions are public and associated with your profile. The Platform reserves the right to remove any comments or reactions that violate the Community Guidelines.
7.4 Explore and Social Discovery
The Platform provides an Explore section that enables authenticated users to discover community content, including popular performances, trending users, and social activity from across the Platform. Access to the Explore section requires an active, authenticated account. The Platform curates and presents content in the Explore section algorithmically and editorially; inclusion in the Explore section does not imply endorsement.
7.5 GoRefuge Community Module
The Platform includes a community discussion module ("GoRefuge") that allows authenticated users to create text posts (up to 2,000 characters), attach images (up to 5 MB, stored on Cloudflare R2), create polls (2-4 options), and use hashtags and emojis. GoRefuge posts are visible to all authenticated users and are subject to AI-powered content moderation. Both text and image content are analyzed before publication — text is moderated using AI text analysis, and images are moderated using AI visual analysis to detect inappropriate, explicit, or harmful content. Posts that fail moderation are rejected and not published. Users may like, comment on, and view posts. The Platform tracks unique post views and engagement metrics.
7.6 Content Moderation
All user-generated content submitted through GoRefuge and other social features is subject to automated AI-powered moderation. Text content is analyzed for profanity, hate speech, threats, spam, harassment, and other violations in any language. Images are analyzed for nudity, violence, gore, drug imagery, weapons, and other inappropriate visual content. The moderation system operates on a "fail-closed" principle — if moderation cannot verify the safety of content (e.g., due to temporary service unavailability), the content is rejected to protect the community. The Platform is designed for users as young as 13 and applies strict moderation standards consistent with EU Digital Services Act requirements.
7.7 Editing and Deleting Your Own Content
You may edit or delete your own posts, comments, reactions, and messages at any time across direct messages (1:1), group chats, Squad channels (text and Hangout voice channels), GoRefuge posts, and the Stage feed. Deletion is irreversible and removes the entry from our database. This functionality implements your right of rectification (GDPR art. 16) and right to erasure (GDPR art. 17) at the individual content level.
7.8 Blocking and Muting Users
You may block another user or leave a group/Squad at any time. Blocking prevents mutual contact via messages, invitations, and social interactions. Blocks are one-sided — the other party is not notified.
7.9 Groups, Squads and Invite Codes
Group and Squad creators may generate invite codes (alphanumeric link/code) with limited validity and a configurable usage cap. Codes may be shared with third parties at the creator's own responsibility — the Platform does not verify who receives the code. The creator is responsible for the group's composition and compliance with these Terms.
7.10 Appeals Procedure (DSA Article 20)
Any User whose content has been removed, flagged as violating these Terms, or whose account has been suspended is entitled to submit an appeal to info@singarena.com within six (6) months of the action. We will process appeals within fourteen (14) business days and provide a written justification for our decision. This procedure complies with article 20 of the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation EU 2022/2065).
7.11 AI Systems (EU AI Act)
AI algorithms used on the Platform for content moderation (text and image), translations, artist bio and cover artwork generation, karaoke performance scoring, and recommendations are classified as limited-risk systems under the EU AI Act (Regulation EU 2024/1689). Users are informed about the automated nature of these decisions and are entitled to appeal in accordance with section 7.10. No personal data is used to train external providers' models (DeepSeek, Gemini, OpenAI, Runware, ElevenLabs, Replicate).
7A. Voice and Video Calls
The Platform provides one-to-one voice and video calling functionality between users using WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) technology. Calls are established as peer-to-peer connections where possible; when direct connection is not feasible (e.g., due to network firewalls), calls are relayed through TURN servers provided by a third-party service (currently Metered.ca). Call signaling data (offers, answers, and ICE candidates) is transmitted through the Platform's infrastructure to establish connections.
The Platform records call metadata (start time, end time, duration, connection type, and call type) for quality monitoring and analytics purposes. The Platform does not record, store, or have access to the audio or video content of calls. Users may decline incoming calls at any time. The availability and quality of calls depends on network conditions and device capabilities.
7B. Stage Feed
The Platform features a vertical, full-screen performance feed ("Stage") that showcases karaoke recordings from users across the Platform in a swipeable, social-media-style format. Published karaoke recordings may appear in the Stage feed and be visible to all authenticated users. Users can interact with Stage performances through reactions, comments, and sharing. Inclusion in the Stage feed is determined algorithmically and does not imply endorsement by the Platform.
7C. Playlists
Authenticated users may create, edit, and manage personal playlists of songs available on the Platform. Playlists are private to the creating user. The Platform reserves the right to remove songs from playlists if the underlying content is removed from the Platform. Creating a playlist does not grant any ownership or licensing rights over the included songs.
7D. Push Notifications
The Platform supports Web Push notifications using the VAPID (Voluntary Application Server Identification) protocol. Users may opt in to receive push notifications for events such as incoming messages, friend requests, challenge invitations, and incoming calls. Push notification subscriptions are stored on the Platform's servers and associated with the user's account. Users may revoke notification permissions at any time through their browser or device settings.
8. Premium Subscription, Audio Quality, and Payments
8.1 Premium Features
The Platform offers a paid Premium subscription that provides enhanced features, including but not limited to: unlimited karaoke sessions; an ad-free experience (no interstitial or rewarded advertisements); high-quality audio playback (original studio/lossless quality, as opposed to compressed MP3 for Free Plan users); HD karaoke recordings (128 kbps stereo vs. 48 kbps mono for Free Plan users); voice effects (reverb and other audio enhancements); Ghost Mode (appear offline to other users); extended chat message limit (2,000 characters vs. 250 for Free Plan users); access to Premium-exclusive songs; 1.2x XP multiplier for karaoke scoring; and the ability to download songs for offline listening. The specific features included in the Premium plan may change over time at the Platform's discretion.
8.5 Music Discovery
The Platform provides a dedicated music discovery experience ("Listen to Music") separate from the song library. This discovery screen offers curated recommendations, genre-based browsing, trending content, and personalized suggestions. The music discovery experience is available to all users. The selection, ordering, and presentation of content in the discovery experience is determined by the Platform's algorithms and editorial curation and may change at any time.
8.6 Audio Quality and Compression
The Platform may transcode and compress uploaded audio content into optimized streaming formats (such as MP3 at 128 kbps) for efficient delivery to Free Plan users. Premium subscribers receive access to the original, uncompressed audio files. The Platform uses third-party audio transcoding services (currently CloudConvert) to process audio files. The quality of audio playback depends on the user's subscription tier, network conditions, and device capabilities. The Platform does not guarantee specific audio quality levels.
8.2 Payment Processing
Plans. Premium is offered as four monthly auto-renewing plans, priced in USD (local store pricing may apply): Karaoke (US$2.99), School (US$2.99), All (US$4.99, Karaoke + School) and All Max (US$7.99, everything in All plus higher limits). Shared Premium perks apply to every paid plan. Billing. Subscriptions are purchased exclusively through Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS/iPadOS) and charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. SingArena never receives your full card details. Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Regional pricing and tax. Premium prices are set on a per-region basis and displayed in your local currency at checkout. The currencies we currently support are USD, EUR, GBP, PLN, JPY, KRW, PHP, SGD, IDR, THB, INR, AUD, and CAD; users in any other country are charged in USD. The displayed price is final and tax-inclusive: applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax is calculated by Stripe Tax based on the billing country associated with your payment method. The currency of an active subscription is fixed for the duration of the current billing period and does not change if you later travel or update your country. Currency-conversion fluctuations between regional prices do not give rise to any refund or credit claim, except as required by applicable consumer-protection law.
8.3 Subscription Management
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your Premium benefits will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free Plan. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play account (Payments & subscriptions) or Apple ID settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions); deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies (see our Refund Policy) and applicable law.
8.4 Early Access Program
The Platform may offer an Early Access program that grants a limited number of early registrants (up to 100 users) a complimentary Premium subscription for three (3) months. Early Access availability is displayed in real time on the registration screen and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cash value associated with the Early Access benefit, and it may not be transferred or exchanged.
9. Advertisements
Users on the Free Plan may be shown advertisements, including interstitial ads and app-open ads, powered by third-party advertising networks (currently Google AdMob). Advertisements are displayed at intervals determined by the Platform (for example, after a set number of songs played) and are never shown during active karaoke recording sessions. Users may watch rewarded advertisements voluntarily to unlock additional karaoke sessions or temporary ad-free periods. Premium subscribers are not shown any advertisements.
10. Referral Program
The Platform operates a referral program that allows Users to invite friends to join SingArena using a unique referral link. For every three (3) successful referrals (i.e., referred users who create a verified account), the referring User earns one (1) month of Premium subscription at no cost. This reward is repeatable (e.g., six referrals earn two months). Referral links are automatically tracked from the registration URL and require no manual code entry by the referred user. Abuse of the referral system, including creating fake accounts, using automated tools, or any fraudulent activity to generate referral rewards, is strictly prohibited and will result in forfeiture of all referral rewards and may lead to account termination.
11. Intellectual Property
11.1 Platform Ownership
The Platform, including its design, layout, look and feel, functionality, source code, algorithms, trademarks, service marks, logos, and all other intellectual property embodied therein, is owned by or licensed to SingArena and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property and proprietary rights laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Platform's intellectual property except as expressly set forth herein.
11.2 User Content License
By submitting Content to the Platform (including karaoke recordings, comments, messages, and reactions), you grant SingArena a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Content in connection with the Platform and SingArena's business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Platform in any media formats and through any media channels. This license persists for the duration of the intellectual property rights applicable to such Content, unless you remove such Content from the Platform, in which case the license will terminate within a commercially reasonable time after removal, subject to any rights previously granted to other Users or sublicensees.
11.3 Lyrics, Backing Tracks and Editorial Text
Song lyrics displayed publicly on the Platform are either original works owned by SingArena or works published with the express permission of their rights holder; the author is credited on the relevant song page. Lyrics are never published for third-party or YouTube-sourced recordings. Backing tracks, instrumental versions, song descriptions, singing guides, blog articles and all other editorial text on the Platform are original works created by or for SingArena and are protected by copyright. Copying, scraping, republishing or redistributing this material, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent is prohibited.
12. Content Moderation, Reporting, and Removal
12.1 Moderation Rights
The Platform reserves the right, but is not obligated, to monitor, review, screen, post, remove, modify, store, or otherwise manage any Content submitted to or available on the Platform. The Administration may remove or restrict access to any Content at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice, including but not limited to Content that violates these Terms, the Content Policy, Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
12.2 Reporting System
The Platform provides two reporting mechanisms: (a) a general report system for reporting users and profiles, and (b) a specialized violation report system for reporting copyright and content violations on specific songs, accessible exclusively from the player view. All reports are reviewed by the Administration. Filing false or malicious reports is a violation of these Terms and may result in action against the reporting user's account.
13. Account Enforcement: Strikes, Suspensions, and Bans
13.1 Progressive Enforcement
The Platform employs a progressive enforcement system. Violations of these Terms or Platform Agreements may result in strikes being issued against your account. The severity and number of strikes determine the enforcement action, which may range from a warning to permanent termination.
13.2 Strikes
Strikes are formal records of policy violations attached to your account. Strikes may be issued by the Administration in response to confirmed reports, content violations, or any other breach of Platform Agreements. The accumulation of strikes may result in escalating consequences, including temporary suspension or permanent ban.
13.3 Temporary and Permanent Bans
The Administration may impose temporary bans (restricting account access for a defined period) or permanent bans (irrevocable termination of account access) based on the nature and severity of violations, the user's history, and other relevant factors. Banned users may not create new accounts to circumvent a ban.
13.4 Termination
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Platform will immediately cease. We may, at our discretion, delete your account and all associated data. We are not obligated to provide you with copies of your data prior to termination, although we may choose to do so.
14. Account Deletion and Recovery
14.1 User-Initiated Deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time through the account settings. Upon requesting deletion, your account enters a "pending deletion" state with a three (3) day grace period. During this grace period, your account access is restricted to a recovery screen with a countdown timer, and you may cancel the deletion request and restore your account at any time.
14.2 Permanent Deletion
If you do not cancel the deletion request within the three-day grace period, your account and all associated data — including profile information, karaoke recordings, scores, chat messages, social connections, and preferences — will be permanently and irreversibly deleted. An automated warning notification is sent approximately twelve (12) hours before the scheduled permanent deletion. After permanent deletion, data cannot be recovered.
15. Offline Downloads
Premium subscribers may download certain songs for offline listening within the Platform's mobile application. Downloaded content is encrypted and accessible only within the SingArena application. Downloads are for personal, non-commercial use only. Downloaded content may not be transferred, shared, or used outside the application. The Platform reserves the right to modify the availability of downloadable content at any time. If your Premium subscription expires or is cancelled, access to downloaded content may be revoked.
16. AI-Generated and AI-Processed Content
The Platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools and automated systems from multiple providers to enhance its services. AI is used for the following purposes, among others:
- Generating or transcribing song lyrics from audio content, including user-submitted audio tracks.
- Generating cover artwork for songs and albums using AI image generation services.
- Generating artist biographies, facts, and translations thereof into multiple languages.
- Generating, translating, and publishing blog articles and editorial content.
- Processing user-submitted audio for vocal separation and instrumental track creation used in karaoke functionality.
- Scoring karaoke performances based on pitch, timing, and stability analysis.
- Providing content recommendations and personalized discovery.
- Moderating user-generated content (text and images) to detect violations of Community Guidelines.
- Translating chat messages between users in real-time.
- Translating news articles from non-English sources for blog content generation.
The Platform utilizes multiple AI service providers, including but not limited to: DeepSeek (for text generation, translation, and analysis), Google AI / Gemini (for image moderation and cover artwork generation as fallback), Runware (for primary image generation), ElevenLabs (for speech-to-text and lyrics transcription), and Replicate (for audio processing and vocal separation). The specific providers and models used may change over time as the Platform optimizes for quality, cost, and performance.
Where applicable, AI tools may process user-submitted content — including uploaded songs, audio files submitted for lyrics transcription, images submitted for moderation, and audio processed for vocal separation — as part of delivering these features. Not all user content is processed by AI; AI processing occurs only when relevant features are used or when content is prepared for specific Platform functionality (such as karaoke).
AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may not always be fully accurate. The Platform does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated outputs. Users should review AI-generated content where applicable and report any issues through the Platform's reporting tools.
16A. Blog and Editorial Content
The Platform operates a blog section that publishes editorial articles about music artists, releases, and industry news. Blog content may be generated with the assistance of AI tools based on publicly available news sources. All blog articles are reviewed and curated by the Platform Administration. Blog articles are available in multiple languages; translations are generated on-demand using AI when a user first accesses an article in a specific language. Once generated, translations are cached for instant subsequent access.
Blog articles include source attribution linking to the original news sources used during content generation. The Platform does not claim ownership of facts reported in blog articles and acknowledges the original sources. Blog content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes and does not constitute professional advice, endorsement, or official statements from the artists discussed.
17. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
17.1 Service Availability
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
17.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SINGARENA, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE PLATFORM; (B) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE PLATFORM; (C) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE PLATFORM; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT OR TRANSMISSIONS, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
17.3 Total Liability Cap
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO SINGARENA IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (US $100.00).
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SingArena, its directors, officers, employees, agents, partners, licensors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of and access to the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms or any Platform Agreement; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary right; (d) any Content you submit to the Platform; (e) any claim that your Content caused damage to a third party; or (f) your abuse of the referral, Premium, or challenge systems.
19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved by the competent state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, USA, unless otherwise required by applicable mandatory consumer protection law in the user's country of residence (including, where applicable, the laws of the European Union).
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed severed from these Terms. Such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Content Policy, Community Guidelines, Cookies Policy, Copyright & DMCA Policy, and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and SingArena regarding the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, written or oral, concerning the subject matter of these Terms.
21a. Google Play Store & Mobile App Distribution
When you download SingArena from the Google Play Store, your use of the Android application is additionally governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Play Developer Distribution Policies. In the event of conflict between these Terms and the Google Play Terms with respect to the distribution of the app, the Google Play Terms govern as to distribution; these Terms continue to govern your use of the SingArena service.
In-app purchases: Premium subscriptions purchased through the Android app are billed via Google Play Billing. You may cancel or manage these subscriptions only through the Google Play app (Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions); SingArena cannot process refunds for Google-billed transactions — refund requests must be submitted to Google Play.
Permissions: The app requests Android runtime permissions only when needed for an active feature (microphone for karaoke and voice calls, camera for photos you choose to upload, media library for selecting files, notifications for messages and incoming calls, Bluetooth for wireless audio devices). You may revoke any permission at any time in Android Settings; the dependent feature will then be disabled.
Account deletion: In accordance with Google Play's account deletion policy, you may delete your account and associated personal data directly in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or via the public web form at singarena.com/account-delete. After a 3-day grace period during which you can cancel, all personal data is permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law.
Target audience & children: SingArena's Google Play target audience is 13+ (16+ in parts of the EU as required by GDPR Art. 8). The app is not enrolled in the Google Play Families program and is not designed for children. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising any minor's use.
User-generated content moderation: The app includes user-generated audio (karaoke recordings, voice rooms), text (chat, posts, comments) and images. We provide in-app reporting (long-press / "⋯" menu), block functionality, AI-driven text and image moderation (fail-closed), human moderation, and a public DMCA / copyright form at /dmca-report — meeting Google Play's UGC policy requirements.
Updates: Because the Android app is built on Capacitor (a hybrid wrapper around our web application), some content and feature updates are delivered over-the-air via the embedded web view without a Play Store update. Critical security fixes and changes to native capabilities are delivered through standard Play Store updates.
21b. Recent Feature Updates (May 2026)
The following functionality has been introduced or materially updated since the previous revision of these Terms. Use of these features is subject to all other provisions of the Terms (including User Content rules, age requirements, moderation, and intellectual-property obligations).
- Stories & Vibe Cards: Ephemeral 24h posts with optional 15-second audio fragments and auto-generated 9:16 "Vibe Cards". You retain ownership of content you upload; you grant SingArena the licence described in the User Content section to host, transcode, display, and (for Vibe Cards) algorithmically render your performance metadata.
- Reels & Highlight Reels: Vertical 15-second video uploads/recordings, plus auto-generated reels for karaoke scores ≥ 70. Highlight reels reuse audio you produced during karaoke; you confirm you hold the necessary rights to that audio under our Content Policy.
- Default Avatar Library: If you do not select an avatar at sign-up, SingArena automatically assigns a random avatar from a built-in library of generic, non-identifying illustrations. You may change it at any time in profile settings.
- Profile Photo Gallery, Name Visibility, Link Previews: Up to 10 photos per profile, Facebook-style name visibility control, and automatic Open Graph link previews in GoRefuge posts. You are solely responsible for content you upload and links you share.
- Audio Calibration & Soundcheck: Local-only microphone latency calibration and pre-duel mic test. Audio is processed on-device only and is not transmitted or stored on our servers.
- Gamification updates: Daily Streak rewards, Weekly Quests, Achievements Showcase, Song of the Day, Friend Activity Feed, Duel Badges. XP and rewards are virtual, have no monetary value, and may be adjusted to prevent abuse.
- Pre-launch payments disclaimer: Until the operating legal entity is fully registered, paid plans are disabled. During this period all users receive Premium-tier access free of charge for evaluation purposes; this does not constitute a waiver of future paid terms.
- Squad (Discord-style module): A separate identity (avatar, nickname, status) is used inside Squad and is intentionally isolated from your karaoke profile. Squad does not host karaoke, Stage, or DJ functionality.
21c. Recent Feature Updates (May 20, 2026)
The following functionality has been introduced or materially updated since the previous revision of these Terms. Use is subject to all other provisions of these Terms, the Content Policy, the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
- Premium: Lyrics Translation & Monthly Singing Report. Real-time translation of karaoke lyrics into the language you choose, and a monthly e-mail + in-app summary of your singing activity. Both features are part of the Premium subscription and may be disabled at any time in Settings.
- Chat Themes (Premium). Per-conversation visual themes for 1:1 chats and Squad channels. Premium-only presets are clearly marked.
- DMCA Designated Agent. SingArena (operated by TC Szabla LLC) is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office as a Designated DMCA Agent under registration number DMCA-1072458. Takedown notices and counter-notifications may be submitted at /dmca-report or by mail to the address in Section 22. The current designation supersedes any earlier agent contact information published elsewhere.
- Public Catalog Disputes. Any visitor may submit a structured ownership dispute about a published track at
/dispute/:songSlug. Disputes are reviewed alongside the standard DMCA process. Repeated bad-faith or knowingly false disputes may result in IP-level rate limiting and, where applicable, referral to the original complainant's counsel. - Mobile advertising (AdMob). On the Android and iOS builds, Free-Plan users may see advertising served via Google AdMob (Banner, Interstitial, Rewarded-Interstitial). Ads are excluded from karaoke, the audio player, and YouTube screens. On iOS, advertising identifiers are subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework; you will be prompted by the operating system before any cross-app tracking. Premium subscribers see no ads on any platform.
- Pre-launch period. Until the operator has completed payment-processor onboarding, paid plans are disabled in the UI and all users are granted Premium-tier feature access free of charge for evaluation. Nothing in this period constitutes a waiver of, or modification to, the paid terms that will apply once payments are enabled.
21d. Recent Feature Updates (June 17, 2026)
Since the previous revision of these Terms, the following changes have been introduced. Use of the Platform after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance.
- Production payments enabled. Premium subscriptions are now charged for real. The pre-launch “everyone treated as Premium” period has ended. Existing user-generated content and free-tier access remain unaffected.
- Regional pricing and Stripe Tax. See Section 8.2. Premium is now priced regionally in 13 currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, PLN, JPY, KRW, PHP, SGD, IDR, THB, INR, AUD, CAD) with tax-inclusive Stripe Tax handling. Users in unsupported countries are charged in USD.
- AI-generated content labelling (EU AI Act preparation). Cover artwork generated through our image-generation sub-processors (Runware, Google Gemini) and any other AI-generated visual content is, or will be, machine-readably marked as AI-generated as required by Article 50 of the EU AI Act (entering into force on 2 August 2026). Karaoke vocal scoring is an AI system of minimal risk and does not produce decisions with legal effect on users.
- Statement of Reasons (EU Digital Services Act). Where we remove, restrict, or demote your content following a moderation decision, you will receive a Statement of Reasons in-app explaining the legal or policy ground, the scope of the action, the facts relied on, and the available redress channels (in-app appeal, complaint to info@singarena.com, or, for EU/EEA users, an out-of-court dispute-settlement body under DSA Art. 21). This applies regardless of your country of residence.
- Photos, Reels, and third-party image rights. The Content Policy now expressly prohibits uploading photographs or video that depict identifiable third parties without their consent, and requires that EXIF location metadata be stripped (our client-side compressor removes EXIF GPS automatically). See the Content Policy for details.
- Mobile advertising identifier disclosure (AdMob). On Android and iOS, ads served via Google AdMob may use the device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / IDFA) for frequency capping and basic measurement, subject to Google’s User Messaging Platform consent on Android and Apple App Tracking Transparency on iOS. AdSense (web) uses cookies and is described in the Cookies Policy; AdMob (native) is described in the Privacy Policy.
21e. School Module (formerly "Coach"): Lessons, Workshops and Teaching Materials
Backing Track Studio. The AI vocal-separation and key/tempo tools are provided solely for private educational use within lessons. By uploading a file you represent that you own the rights to it or that your use is permitted under applicable educational-use or fair-use exceptions. Generated backing tracks and vocal stems are private lesson materials visible only to the teacher and the students they choose; they are never added to the public SingArena catalog, search or player, and may not be redistributed. Uploaded source files are deleted after processing.
21e.1 Roles and Nature of the Service
The School module (shown in the app as "School", previously "Coach") allows Users to take part as teachers ("Coaches") or learners ("Students") across a wide range of subjects — music and performance, foreign languages, school and academic subjects, visual and creative arts, and general life skills. Teaching of academic subjects is provided by independent Coaches and does not constitute accredited schooling, tutoring certification, or any regulated educational service. Both roles require a separate application and, in the case of Coaches, review and approval by the Administration. SingArena is a technology platform: Coaches act as independent providers of teaching services and are not employees, agents or representatives of SingArena. We do not guarantee the quality, qualifications, availability or results of any Coach, and we are not a party to the teaching relationship between a Coach and a Student, except as expressly stated in these Terms. The Coach module is currently offered as a public beta and may change, be limited, or be withdrawn.
21e.2 1:1 Lessons via LiveKit
Individual lessons and group workshops are conducted in real time in a browser or application session using LiveKit (WebRTC) audio, video and screen sharing. You are responsible for your own device, microphone, camera and internet connection. Connection quality issues attributable to your equipment or network do not entitle you to a refund. You must not stream, display or share content in a lesson room that you do not have the right to use, and you must not admit third parties to a lesson room without the consent of all participants.
21e.3 Lesson Recording and Retention
Lessons may be recorded only where recording has been enabled for that lesson and the participants have been informed. Where a Student is a minor, recording additionally requires guardian consent under Section 21f. Recordings are stored in private storage and are accessible only through short-lived signed links issued to the lesson participants and, where applicable, the linked guardian. Recordings that are not pinned are deleted automatically when the retention period applicable to your plan expires. Current retention periods: no recording storage on the Free plan; 30 days on Premium School and Premium All; 90 days on Premium All Max, which also allows up to 10 recordings to be pinned. Eligible plans allow a limited number of recordings to be pinned for longer retention; if your plan is downgraded, cancelled or expires, pinned recordings remain accessible for a 60-day grace period, after which they may be deleted. You must not download, republish, sell or otherwise distribute a lesson recording without the express consent of every participant appearing in it.
21e.4 Teaching Materials
Coaches may upload teaching materials (sheet music, chord charts, exercises, documents, images and audio, subject to file-type and size limits) and may link YouTube videos. A Coach must hold all rights necessary to share each material and to make it available to Students; uploading third-party sheet music, scores or recordings without a licence is prohibited and will be handled under Sections 12 and 13. Materials are made available according to the visibility chosen by the Coach (private, all students, or selected students). Students receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use shared materials solely for their own learning. Students must not copy, redistribute, resell or publish materials received from a Coach. Access to materials ends when the Coach revokes the share, deletes the material, or resigns the Coach role.
21e.5 Workshops
Coaches may run group workshops with a limited number of places and an optional waiting list. Enrolment is confirmed when a place is allocated; if a workshop is full, you may join the waiting list and will be enrolled automatically if a place is released. A Coach may cancel or reschedule a workshop; in that case all enrolled Students are notified and any amount paid for that workshop is refunded in full.
21e.6 Prices and Payment
Coaches may optionally publish informational prices. The Coach and Student or guardian agree all lesson and workshop fees, payment methods and refund terms directly, outside SingArena. SingArena does not collect, process, intermediate or pay out these fees and charges no commission on teaching fees. Coaches are responsible for their teaching income and applicable taxes.
21e.7 Cancellations, No-Shows and Refunds
- Each Coach sets a cancellation notice period. A Student who cancels within the notice period is not charged, and any amount already paid is refunded.
- A cancellation made after the notice period has passed is recorded as a late cancellation. A Coach may treat a late cancellation as a used lesson under their published policy.
- If a Coach fails to attend a confirmed lesson, or cancels at any time, the Student is entitled to a full refund or a rescheduled lesson at the Student's choice.
- A confirmed lesson that is neither joined nor cancelled is automatically marked as completed 24 hours after its scheduled end. A Student may raise a dispute with the Administration within 14 days of that date.
- Booking requests that are not confirmed by a Coach expire automatically. A Student may hold a limited number of open booking requests at any one time.
- Consumers resident in the EU/EEA or the United Kingdom retain their statutory withdrawal rights; by requesting a lesson that takes place within the withdrawal period, you ask us to begin performance immediately and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal lapses once the lesson has been fully performed.
21e.8 Resigning from a Role
You may resign from the Coach or the Student role at any time from within the module. Resigning deactivates that role and removes the related public listing; it does not delete your SingArena account, which is deleted separately under Section 14. A User whose role has been suspended by the Administration may not resign in order to avoid enforcement, and may not re-apply until the suspension is lifted. A Coach who resigns must complete or refund all confirmed lessons.
21f. Guardian Consent for Minors (Email-Plus)
This Section supplements and clarifies Section 3.1. The minimum age to hold a SingArena account is thirteen (13). Users who are minors under the law of their country of residence require verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian before using features that involve paid transactions, 1:1 lessons with a Coach, or recorded sessions.
Consent is obtained through an "email-plus" mechanism: the guardian receives a single-use invitation link, valid for seven (7) days, and confirms consent through a dedicated form. The confirmation is recorded together with its date, time, IP address and browser user-agent as evidence that consent was validly obtained. No payment card, micro-charge or card verification of any kind is used in this flow.
A guardian who grants consent thereby accepts these Terms on behalf of the minor and is responsible for the minor's use of the Platform. The guardian receives read-only access to a guardian dashboard showing the minor's lessons, practice history, homework, progress and lesson recordings. The guardian may withdraw consent at any time from that dashboard or by contacting us. Withdrawal takes effect immediately and the minor loses access to the features that required consent. Where consent is required and has not been granted, refused, or has been withdrawn, the affected features remain unavailable. We may request additional proof of guardianship and may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe the age or guardianship information provided is false.
21g. Squad: Separate Identity, Stage Channels, Events and Moderation
21g.1 Squad Identity
Squad is a community hangout module that operates under a separate identity from your SingArena profile. On first entry you create a Squad display name and avatar, which is what other members see everywhere in Squad, including voice, Stage and direct messages. You must not attempt to deanonymise other members, publish the link between a Squad identity and a SingArena account, or use a Squad identity to impersonate another person, to evade a ban, or to circumvent blocks. Doing so is a material breach of these Terms and may result in removal from Squad and enforcement action on your main account under Section 13.
21g.2 Channels, Stage Channels and Events
A Squad may contain text channels, voice channels of different kinds (hangout, gaming, study, watch) and Stage channels for up to fifty (50) participants with host, speaker and audience roles, raise-hand requests and audience members muted by default. Owners and moderators may restrict access to individual channels, and restricted-channel content, reactions and activity state are visible only to members with access to that channel. Squads may schedule events with RSVP; reminders are sent by push notification and email shortly before an event. Squad owners may enable self-assignable roles and may configure a welcome flow for new members.
21g.3 Boosts, Activity Points and Insights
Members may boost a Squad, limited to one boost per user per week with a weekly reset. Boosts are a cosmetic and ranking signal, confer no ownership or governance rights, and have no monetary value; they are not refundable or transferable. Activity points (Squad XP) accrue automatically from messages and time spent in voice channels and are provided for engagement purposes only. Squad managers have access to an insights dashboard showing aggregate statistics for their Squad (growth, message and voice volume, activity by hour, top channels, event attendance, boosts and milestones). Insights are aggregate and are presented under the Squad identity layer; they must not be used to identify, profile or target individual members outside the Platform.
21g.4 Inactivity Pruning
A Squad owner may enable automatic removal of inactive members after a period they configure between fourteen (14) and three hundred sixty-five (365) days, and may enable re-engagement notifications. Owners and moderators are never removed by this mechanism. Removal from a Squad ends your membership and Squad-scoped state in that Squad only; it does not affect your SingArena account, and you may re-join if the Squad allows it. SingArena is not liable for content, roles or status lost as a result of pruning configured by a Squad owner.
21g.5 Music in Squad
Squad is not a music-distribution surface. Streaming, rebroadcasting or performing commercial recordings in Squad voice or Stage channels is prohibited.
21h. Duels, Battles and Fair Play
Duels and Battles are optional 1v1 competitive karaoke modes. Before a match you may be asked to complete a short microphone soundcheck. The soundcheck measures microphone loudness locally on your device; no audio is recorded, transmitted or stored, and the result is cached on your device for a short period only.
All scores, session counters, experience points, streaks, badges and rewards are computed and stored exclusively on our servers. Any attempt to submit, modify or replay scores outside the intended flow is prohibited. You must not:
- submit a performance that you did not personally sing, including pre-recorded, re-used, synthesised or third-party audio;
- use scripts, emulators, modified clients, network interception or any automated tool to influence matchmaking, scoring or rewards;
- operate multiple accounts to win against yourself, farm experience points, or inflate a streak;
- collude with another User to manipulate the outcome of a duel, a leaderboard or a challenge.
Free Plan Users may start a limited number of karaoke sessions per day, and daily caps apply to experience points earned from karaoke, duels, quests and streaks for all Users. Bonus sessions may be granted for rewarded advertisements or promotions. We may invalidate scores, revoke rewards and badges, reset a leaderboard position, restrict access to competitive modes, or apply strikes, suspension or termination under Section 13 where we reasonably determine that competitive integrity has been breached.
21j. Mobile Advertising and App Tracking Transparency
In our mobile applications, advertisements for Free Plan Users are served through Google AdMob in banner, interstitial and rewarded formats. Advertisements are not shown during karaoke performances, audio playback or YouTube playback. On iOS, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking across other companies' apps and websites takes place for advertising or measurement purposes. Declining the prompt does not restrict your access to the Platform; advertisements will simply be non-personalised. You may change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and equivalent controls are available on Android. Interfering with, blocking or automating the display of advertisements in the mobile applications is prohibited.
21k. Recent Updates (August 28, 2026)
Since the previous revision of these Terms, the following changes have been introduced. Use of the Platform after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance.
- School module (Section 21e). Renamed from "Coach" and extended to all subjects (languages, academic subjects, arts, life skills). Rules for 1:1 lessons over LiveKit, lesson recordings and their retention, teaching materials, workshops, pricing and payment, cancellations, late cancellations, no-shows, refunds and role resignation.
- Guardian consent (Section 21f). The email-plus consent mechanism, the guardian's responsibilities, the read-only guardian dashboard and withdrawal of consent.
- Squad (Section 21g). Separate Squad identity and the prohibition on deanonymisation, Stage channels, events and RSVP, boosts, activity points, manager insights, inactivity pruning and the prohibition on streaming music.
- Duels and Battles (Section 21h). Soundcheck, server-side scoring, daily caps and fair-play rules.
- Mobile advertising (Section 21j). AdMob formats and Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS.
