Copyright & DMCA Policy
Last Updated: October 9, 2026
1. Commitment to Copyright Protection
SingArena ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users of the Platform to do the same. We are committed to responding promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), the EU Copyright Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/790), the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, "DSA") and other applicable copyright laws worldwide.
This Copyright & DMCA Policy describes the procedures for reporting copyright infringement, submitting counter-notifications, and the consequences of repeated infringement.
2. How SingArena Handles Copyright
Users must have all necessary rights to content they share. Access to catalog music does not transfer ownership or authorise copying or redistribution. YouTube content is played through the official embedded player and is not hosted or redistributed by SingArena. We review reports and restrict or remove content where required by law.
5. In-App Violation Reporting
Users who believe that a song available on the Platform infringes upon copyright or other rights may submit a violation report directly through the Platform's player view. This reporting mechanism is intentionally limited to the player view to ensure that reports are targeted and deliberate. Violation reports are reviewed by the Administration in dedicated moderation panels.
In addition, a public DMCA submission form is available at /dmca-report for users and rights holders who do not have an account. Both mechanisms supplement, but do not replace, the formal DMCA takedown notice process described below.
6. Designated Copyright Agent
In accordance with the DMCA, SingArena has designated the following agent to receive notifications of alleged copyright infringement:
Designated Agent: TC Szabla LLC (SingArena)

Notices that do not comply with these requirements may not be actionable. Please note that under the DMCA, any person who knowingly makes material misrepresentations in a notification of alleged infringement may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
8. Platform Response to DMCA Notices
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice, the Platform will:
- Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content.
- Notify the user who submitted the content (the "alleged infringer") that the content has been removed and provide a copy of the takedown notice.
- Record a strike against the alleged infringer's account as part of the Platform's progressive enforcement system.
- Retain records of the takedown notice and the action taken in accordance with our retention obligations.
9. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Counter-notifications can be submitted by emailing the Designated Copyright Agent. The counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the material: Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.

- Signature: A physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the original complainant does not file a court action within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days, we may restore the removed content.
10. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA, the EU DSA and our Terms of Service, SingArena maintains a policy for the termination, in appropriate circumstances, of the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a user who has been the subject of more than two (2) valid DMCA takedown notices or who has accumulated multiple strikes for copyright-related violations. The Platform reserves the right to:
- Terminate the account of any user who is found to be a repeat infringer.
- Remove all content associated with the repeat infringer's account.
- Refuse to process future account applications from the same individual.
12. Misrepresentation Warning
Please be aware that under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner or its licensee, or the service provider. We encourage all parties to carefully consider whether a particular use of copyrighted material constitutes infringement before filing a notification.
13. International Copyright Considerations
While this Policy specifically references the DMCA, SingArena respects copyright laws of all jurisdictions. Copyright holders outside the United States may submit notifications of alleged infringement following the procedures outlined above. We will evaluate and respond to such notifications in accordance with applicable local and international copyright laws, including but not limited to the Berne Convention, the EU Copyright Directive (Directive (EU) 2019/790), the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), and other relevant treaties and statutes.
