OPM singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo is set to drop 'Tsaka Nalang,' a new single inspired by the budding connection between PBB housemates Jeo and Gehlee.

From Reality TV to a Real Song

Zack Tabudlo is back with new music, and this time the inspiration came from an unexpected place: the Pinoy Big Brother house. The OPM singer-songwriter is releasing a new single titled "Tsaka Nalang" ("Maybe Later"), a track he says was sparked by watching Jeo and Gehlee, two of the newest housemates on the long-running ABS-CBN reality show.

The news, first reported by ABS-CBN, puts Tabudlo back in the spotlight after a busy few years that have seen him become one of the most streamed Filipino artists of his generation. For fans who have followed his career since his The Voice Kids days, the move is a reminder that Tabudlo's songwriting often draws from everyday observations — including, apparently, the slow-burn tensions of reality television.

Who Are Jeo and Gehlee?

Jeo and Gehlee are among the new batch of housemates inside the Pinoy Big Brother house. The pair's interactions have caught the attention of viewers, and evidently Tabudlo's too. While details of the song's lyrics have not been revealed, the title "Tsaka Nalang" suggests a theme of timing and hesitation — fitting for a storyline built on will-they-won't-they moments.

It's not the first time PBB has spilled over into OPM. The show has long been a launchpad for cultural moments, and its romances — dubbed "loveteams" by Filipino audiences — frequently become watercooler fodder. Tabudlo's decision to write a song around one such pairing shows how quickly reality TV storylines can travel from the screen into the studio.

A Career Built on Relatable Songwriting

Tabudlo's new single fits neatly into a discography defined by emotional honesty. Born in December 2001, he first appeared on television as a contestant on the inaugural season of The Voice Kids, where he was mentored by Bamboo Mañalac before being eliminated in the Battle Rounds. That early setback pushed him toward songwriting — a path he has since followed with remarkable success.

After a stint ghost-producing for foreign artists, Tabudlo launched his solo career in 2018 and broke through in 2020 with his debut single "Nangangamba" under Island Records Philippines, a sub-label of MCA Music (now UMG Philippines). But it was 2021's "Binibini" that turned him into a household name: the track became the top local song on Spotify's Philippines charts at the time. His debut album, Episode, arrived in October 2021, and its lead single "Pano" went on to become the longest-running number-one OPM song on Spotify Philippines — a record that underlined his streaming power.

In 2022 he joined Republic Records Philippines, and the following year he released two full-length projects: Zack: For All and Third Time's a Charm. Along the way he has performed internationally, including at Expo 2020 Dubai in February 2022, and has become a reliable hitmaker in a market where streaming numbers often decide careers.

What "Tsaka Nalang" Means for His Next Chapter

Releasing a song inspired by a reality show is a canny move in the OPM landscape. Tabudlo's core audience — young, extremely online, and deeply engaged with pop culture — overlaps almost perfectly with PBB's viewership. A single tied to a buzzy housemate storyline can travel organically across TikTok and Twitter, where fans already dissect every episode.

It also keeps him in the conversation between major projects. Since his 2023 albums, Tabudlo has remained active but has not announced a full-length follow-up. A one-off single like "Tsaka Nalang" allows him to test new material, stay visible, and lean into the storytelling that first made him stand out. Whether the song becomes a permanent fixture in his live sets remains to be seen, but its premise alone is enough to generate curiosity.

For now, the release serves as another example of how Filipino artists are pulling inspiration from the culture around them — and how a few minutes of television can turn into a hook, a title, and eventually a track.
