Camila Cabello's Latest Chapter: A Fragrance Deal, a K-Pop Shoutout and Her Hair Repair Secrets
By SingArena Editorial · · Artist Update
Camila Cabello is having a busy season — she's the new face of Tommy Hilfiger's Freedom fragrance, she still inspires the next generation of pop stars, and she's sharing the hair care routine that helped her recover from a major color change.
Camila Cabello has never been one to stay in one lane, and this fall is proving that again. The "Havana" singer, whose career has spanned girl group stardom, solo chart-toppers, and even a starring turn in Cinderella, is now adding fragrance ambassador, beauty guru, and mentor-figure to her résumé — all within the space of a few weeks.
A New Fragrance Era With Tommy Hilfiger
Cabello recently joined Tommy Hilfiger as the brand's latest Global Ambassador, and her first major project is fronting the launch of Tommy Hilfiger Freedom Eau de Parfum — the brand's first new women's prestige fragrance in more than a decade. The scent is a modern take on the Tommy Hilfiger fragrance archives, opening with juicy lychee and fresh, dewy florals before settling into soft magnolia blossom and a smooth vanilla blue base. It also introduces Clean Amber, a new scent profile for the house that balances that just-showered freshness with warm, cozy notes.
The bottle itself leans into the brand's heritage, dressed in Tommy Hilfiger's signature red, white and blue with a red monogrammed cap, ribbed glass and gold finishes. If the fragrance sounds like a statement piece, that's fitting — Cabello's collaborators describe it as capturing her "bold, free-spirited energy." Amazon is currently offering a gift set bundle for under $100 for anyone looking to try it this season.
Still an Inspiration to the Next Generation
Meanwhile, Cabello's influence continues to ripple through pop's newest class. On Wednesday (Sept. 23), KATSEYE's Lara Raj posted a selfie with Cabello to her Instagram Story, captioned simply, "My big sissy forever." The photo showed the two posing together, with Cabello resting her head on Raj's shoulder — though the post didn't reveal where or why the two had linked up.
The connection runs deeper than a friendly photo. Raj revealed in August on the Nicky at Night podcast that Cabello's 2018 hit "Never Be the Same" was a reference behind the writing and production of KATSEYE's song "Unloveu." Released as part of Cabello's debut solo album Camila in 2017, "Never Be the Same" peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2018 and topped Billboard's Pop Airplay chart. The song's influence has now come full circle: "Unloveu" appears exclusively on the Target edition of KATSEYE's third EP, WILD, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last month — the group's first chart-topper.
The admiration goes both ways within KATSEYE. In a 2025 interview with Complex, member Sophia Laforteza called Cabello everyone's "older sister" — a sentiment that Raj's latest post makes very literal.
Healing Her Hair After Going Blond
Cabello has also been open about a more personal project: recovering her hair after dyeing it blond last year. In a recent conversation with the Strategist, she said she's been focused on healing her hair since the color change, and that bond repair products have made the biggest difference.
"I've noticed a big difference in my hair from using the bond repair products because it's getting into the hair as opposed to just moisturizing from the outside," she said. Her standout pick is the K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask, which she called "probably my favorite" and noted is patented — "there's nothing out there like it."
She did add a caveat: there's such a thing as too much bond repair, but used correctly, she said it's "so good." K18 recommends using it for four to six washes, then as needed. The formula works on all hair types and is designed to repair at a molecular level, reversing damage from bleach, color and heat.
Her routine doesn't stop there. Cabello also swears by Pureology Color Fanatic Leave-In Spray, which she discovered through hair care influencer Abbey Young. "She's really helped me fix my hair," Cabello said. "I have dry and porous hair, and I do feel like the conditioner has made a big difference." The spray promises 21 different benefits, from heat protection to frizz control, and while it's designed as a leave-in conditioner, Cabello said she uses it before swimming too.
What's Next
Cabello's fourth studio album, C,XOXO, arrived in 2024 — her first release since 2022's Familia, which contained the international hit "Bam Bam" featuring Ed Sheeran. With a major fragrance campaign now in motion and her music continuing to inspire artists across genres and generations, the singer shows no signs of slowing down. Whether she's in the studio, on a red carpet, or sharing her latest beauty discovery, Cabello remains one of pop's most consistently interesting multihyphenates.
