Linkin Park
Biography
Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996, known for blending alternative rock, nu metal, and hip-hop with evolving electronic and pop elements across their discography. They achieved international fame with their diamond-certified debut album *Hybrid Theory* (2000), driven by iconic singles like "In the End," and continued commercial success with *Meteora* (2003) before diversifying their sound on later albums such as *A Thousand Suns* and *One More Light*. Following the tragic death of lead vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017 and a subsequent hiatus, the band reformed in 2024 with new members Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain. Linkin Park's influence is marked by their ability to merge heavy guitar work with melodic rap and electronic textures, solidifying their status as one of the most successful and innovative rock acts of the 21st century.
